Fewer snakes in the low countries
Australia is a land that is wriggling with snakes - or so I've been led to believe. The north-west of Europe doesn't offer much in the way of training for those who need habituating. Perhaps a legless lizard will do instead:
I seem to remember you saw a big 'zero' when you were there :-)
I have just been reading up about the lava tubes at Undara. Brown tree snakes hang out (literally) in the trees at the entrance and catch the bats as they come out in the evening. Unfortunately I'll be there too early in the year. http://undara.com.au/australian-native-wildlife/microbats-night-tigers/
Snakes? You can barely move without stepping on one. And 98% of them are deadly! I hope your will is up to date...
